Family Fun Day 2011
We had a great turn out at our first Annual Family Fun Day. Although the weather looked a little dodgy in the morning, by lunch time the sun was out and the saus-o's were sizzling. Thanks to everyone who came and especially those who helped out. We saw some excellent cricket skills, some competitive 3-legged racers, heard some funny stories and listened to some amazing little singers belt out "give me a home among the gum tree". With plenty of ANZAC bickies, lollies and sausage sambos, everyone left with full tummies and some memories of Down Under. If you could not make it this time, we hope to see you next year mates!

SUNFEST
Maori roots Band
For those of you who are not familiar with Sunfest, it is a wonderful FREE event held in Victoria Park in downtown London annually. It features music from around the world, multicultural foods, stalls and activities. It is a great day out for the whole family. http://www.sunfest.on.ca/

ANZAC Day 2011
Thanks to everyone who made it to our ANZAC Day event this year. We had about 90 people attend. We had a lovely memorial ceremony followed by a hot breakfast which included ANZAC bickies, lammingtons, Freddo Frogs, Minties, Fantales, TimTams, Bundy Rum (gunfire coffee) and VB. Breakfast was followed by charity two-up and a great time was had by all. Thanks again to Deno and Trevor for doing an excellent job in organizing the event and thanks to the RCR for allowing us to use their facilities. Thank you to all the people who helped out and especially to Counsellor Winton Holmes from the New Zealand High Commission for attending and participating in our ceremony. ANZAC Day Dawn Service 2011

As in previous years, this year’s London Ontario ANZAC Day Dawn Service
will be held at:

Wolseley Barracks, Monday, April 25 commencing at 5:45AM at the Royal Canadian Regiment (RCR) memorial

Following the ceremony, breakfast will be served at the Officers' Mess at a nominal cost of $5 per person, after which a traditional game ‘Two-Up’ will be played in the ante room.
In order to finalize catering numbers please advise via email by Friday 15 April if you are going to attend the service with numbers of adults and children. The service starts at 5:45am sharp and it is recommended to arrive at 5:30am to ensure getting a parking space in time for the service.
Dress is coat and tie or uniform for service personnel. No jeans are allowed in the Officers' Mess.

On Friday April 8th Aroma will be "Going Down Under" in support of the recent earthquake in New Zealand. Aroma will be hosting a traditional four course Australian/New Zealand meal with wine tasting and live entertainment!

We again plan on conducting an ANZAC Day Dawn Service at 5:45am on Monday 25th of April at the Wolseley Barracks RCR Memorial in London, with breakfast immediately afterwards at the Wolseley Barracks Officers Mess. We will provide further details in the next couple of weeks.
